Remember the following congregations as they face transitions, seek new leaders, find ways to manage the part time ministry in their local context and begin to understand a new way of being church.

Manitoba West 

  • First United Flin Flon as it seeks new ways to be your church, as it manages ministry without the ACC partnership 
  • Christ, Waldersee and Erickson Lutheran – working with a changing financial context for the next year; Pastor Jim and Deacon Hilde’s leadership, calls renewed, for their work in supporting the wider ministry and the AREA 
  • Lutheran United Church of Thompson as it seeks a full time pastor
  • Pastor Mark Tienfenbach as he seeks call

Manitoba East

  • For the Shared ministry council as it dreams and visions new ways of being church;
  • For the retirees- Jack Frederick and Louis Pellisier who assist the local ministry;
  • Pastor Larry Ulrich’s work as pastoral coordinator;
  • Pastors Richard and Bart, regularly called, who guide the congregations in regular ministry within the AREA
  • Trinity, Thalberg and St Paul, Green Bay as it continues to seek a new pastor;
  • Retiree – Aubrey Hemminger- assisting during this transition

Manitoba South 

  • For the part time supply ministry provided by retirees, lay persons and those on leave from call to Emmmanel, Emerson, Zion, Friedenstahl, St Paul’s, Brunkild
  • For Pastors Terry, Trudy and Leslie and Reverend Melissa who support the wider ministry within the local context
    and their leadership in the AREA

Manitoba Central

  • For the part time supply ministry provided by retirees and laypersons at Ardal-Geysir, Arborg, Riverton Hnausa, Riverton, Lundar, Grace, Ashern, Peace, Moosehorn, Evangelical, Selkirk, St. Peter’s, Teulon
  • For Pastors Les and Erik, regularly called, who support the ministry of the wider church within the local context and for their leadership in the AREA

Northwestern Ontario

  • For retirees and laypersons who provide supply to Trinity, Bergland and Salem, Pass Lake;
  • For Pastors Nancy, Jari and Matthew, regularly called, who support the ministry of the wider church and their leadership in the AREA

Winnipeg North

  • For Pastor John Giroux as he completes full time ministry at Prince of Peace;
  • For Pastors Annemarie, Lynne, Jason, Courtenay and Bruce, regularly called, who support the ministry of the congregations and the leadership of the AREA
  • For retirees who assist with Sunday supply and other wider church ministries
  • For Pastor Bob Jacob, new chair of Lutheran Urban Ministry and the board as it prepares for a transition as Pastor Deb Kerr moves to Calgary for a new call

Winnipeg Central

  • For Pastor Michael Kurtz and Reverend Murray Still, regularly called to support the ministry of their congregations and for their
    support of the AREA ministry
  • For retirees who provide supply ministry to congregations in need
  • For alternate ministries and their pastors- Bishop Susan, ELCIC National office; Pastor Pau Gehrs, National office; Pastor Lynn Granke, chaplain, Victoria General Hospital; Deacon Michele Barr at Bethany Home

Winnipeg South

  • For Pastor Chris Bishopp, newly installed at Faith Lutheran;
  • For Pastors Carol, Rick and David, and Deacon Kris, regularly called, who serve their congregations and provide leadership to the AREA ministry
  • For retirees who provide supply to congregations, for those who support the Beautiful Feet Initiative

The First Nations communities of Treaty 2 are: Dauphin River, Ebb & Flow, Keeseekoowenin, Lake St. Martin, Lake Manitoba, Little Saskatchewan, O-Chi-Chak-Ko-Sipi, Pinaymootang and Skownan.
