Faith in Context–“Towards Communities of Inclusion and Belonging”

This workshop will provide background and information about creating communities that emphasize an appreciation of shared humanity and are intentionally welcoming and inclusive to those living with disabilities.  With a brief history of disability in Canada and some understanding of current realities facing this community, participants will increase awareness about how advocating for those living with disabilities intersects with other social issues.

Jeanne Morton has supported people living with disability for over 30 years. She has felt called to amplify the voices of lived experience to achieve inclusion and belonging in the community where their contribution is fully valued. She presently works for the Cerebral Palsy Association of BC providing policy advice and program development.
