Lutheran/Anglican Clergy Study Conference
The annual clergy study conference, held in partnership with the Diocese of Rupert’s Land and the Diocese of Brandon, is a time for learning, renewal and fellowship with colleagues. Rostered pastors and deacons serving under call or appointment are expected to attend.

Two nights (June 10-12)
- $675.00 – Single Occupancy (2 Nights)

Three nights (June 9-12)
- $820.00 – Single Occupancy (3 Nights)
- $740.00 – Double Occupancy (3 Nights)
- Please note that clergy from the Brandon diocese will all be choosing this option.
If you select Double Occupancy, you are agreeing to share a room and we will need to know your roommate choice.
If you require accessibility accommodations (main floor, wider doorframes), please be as descriptive as possible with your needs, as the Resort only has one fully accessible room (walk in shower).
MNO clergy (and Anglican clergy serving MNO congregations) are encouraged to plan to arrive on Tuesday afternoon for a pre-conference time of focused discussion and conversation (see agenda). Brandon Diocese clergy will also be gathering on Tuesday afternoon (location TBD…see the agenda). All clergy may choose to arrive on Tuesday evening (additional cost). Please select the Three-night option. The Lutheran/Anglican study conference will begin on Wednesday morning (see agenda).
Each diocese/synod approves requests for clergy who want to bring a spouse/partner and child/ren to the study conference if they will be sharing a room. Please contact your synod/diocese office for information on registration and fees.

**note that there is a bar/restaurant in the hotel, and several restaurants in the area. Most restaurants take payment via debit/credit card, but some have a cash only requirement after certain hours.

This year’s theme and content will focus on Exploring the Possibilities, Sustainability, and Faithful Stewardship of our Church Buildings. Our main workshop leader will be Katja Brittain, who combines her theological and business training to help congregations navigate the often-complex questions around church building management. In her current role, Katja serves the Eastern Synod of the ELCIC on a half-time basis. Katja offers workshops and a monthly blog across the ELCIC, sharing insights and practical tools to help congregations align their buildings with their mission.
Katja Brittain is a theologian and an MBA, with over ten years of experience helping congregations navigate the often-complex questions around church building management. In her current role, Katja serves the Eastern Synod of the ELCIC on a half-time basis, while the other half of her work is supported by a generous donation from Charitus. This allows Katja to offer workshops and a monthly blog across all Synods, sharing insights and practical tools to help congregations align their buildings with their mission.
Rev. Dr. Iain Luke serves as the Executive Archdeacon of the Diocese of Rupert’s Land. Dr. Luke brings a wealth of experience as priest, educator and leader within the Anglican Church of Canada. He has served faithfully in parish, diocesan, and academic contexts. Before joining the staff of the Diocese of Rupert’s Land, Dr. Luke served as the Principal of the College of Emmanuel & St. Chad in Saskatoon. His ministry has been marked by theological reflection, a collaborative and compassionate spirit, and a deep commitment to the renewal of Christ’s church in our time.

What to do around Gimli
Enjoy some peace and quiet or an exciting adventure in Gimli, an Icelandic town full of history. Lakeview Gimli Resort is located right in the heart and soul of Gimli. You can walk right along the boardwalk, go to the beach, head to the Viking Museum, the Viking Park, the Glider statue, the Gimli Art Club, the Gimli Sea Wall is a beautiful walk with the family and to look at the marina, the infamous H.P. Tergensens for shopping. The resort also has great little shops within.
