Canadian Lutheran World Relief

Inspired by God’s love for the world, CLWR challenges and responds to the injustice which causes human suffering and poverty. We are committed to working alongside our partners to build resilience through a continual shared learning approach. As an international relief and development agency of the Lutheran communities, CLWR provides opportunities for Canadians to respond to national and international needs.

Anglican Church of Canada

We are Full Communion Partners with the Anglican Church, which means that clergy can serve across denominational boundaries, and congregations engage in mutual relationship in a variety of ways. We work most closely with the Diocese of Rupert’s Land, but also connect with Diocese of Brandon and Diocese of Algoma on collaborative ministry initiatives, and shared resources and planning for some events.

ELCIC

The MNO Synod is one of 5 synods in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC).  The ELCIC accompanies synods, congregations, leaders and partners in a variety of ways.  Find out more about the work of the ELCIC in Canada and around the world, subscribe to receive updates, and access resources and documents from the ELCIC.

Luther Village

Luther Village is a Lutheran camp nestled amongst the majestic pines on the shores of Dogtooth Lake which exists to give all individuals the opportunity for growth and renewal of mind, body and soul. Seasonal programs are offered on site.

Lutheran Theological Seminary Saskatoon

Lutheran Theological Seminary, Saskatoon (LTS) is a seminary owned by the four Western Synods of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada. LTS offers basic degrees, such as various Master of Theological Studies options.  For more advanced students, LTS shares in the Master of Theology degree offered with Saskatoon Theological Union (STU) partners.

Lutheran Urban Ministry (The Urban)

The Lutheran Urban Ministry, known simply as the Urban, is a ministry of presence that expresses God’s grace to inner city residents in Winnipeg. Programs offered include meals, classes, men’s/women’s groups, sharing circles, children’s time, worship, and fellowship. Individuals also have access to spiritual care and support through our Ministry Manager and qualified volunteers.

Manitoba Multifaith Council

The Manitoba Multifaith Council is an association of faith communities, representatives of faith communities and individuals from various faith traditions throughout Manitoba. The council invites interested faith expressions to join it in fostering compassionate spiritual care and justice for the good of the province.

Initiatives for Just Communities

Initiatives for Just Communities has a mission to  walk with people with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and intellectual disabilities, and those currently or previously incarcerated, to help them to achieve a better quality of life for themselves and their communities. IJC works to create communities where each person, particularly the stigmatized and the vulnerable, has a place to belong.

Lutheran Community Care Centre

Lutheran Community Care works with Developmental Services Ontario, the District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board, and Lutheran clergy and volunteers to provide flexible and responsive social, developmental and spiritual programs and services. With compassion and respect, we meet the physical, spiritual, emotional, social and economic needs of individuals and families in Northern Ontario.

Jubilee Fund is Manitoba’s only charitable ethical investment fund here to offer financial help for local non-profits and social enterprisesworking to reduce the impact of poverty.

ELFEC has a three-fold mission: to help congregations take care of and grow investments, to help individuals leave gifts to the Church, and to grant money to Lutheran charities and other church-related projects.

Winnipeg Foundation is a community foundation– public charitable organizations, built through generous gifts of all sizes that are pooled and permanently invested. The interest earned from these endowments generates a sustainable source of support for local charitable projects.
