Beginning Jan 14, Bishop Jason, along with all of the ELCIC bishops, will be embarking on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. This pilgrimage is a time for prayer, reflection, learning, and worship. It is an opportunity for Bishop Jason to connect on a deeper level with the life and ministry of Jesus, and the story of God in lives, by walking where Jesus walked.

During this time the bishops will visit some of the work of the Lutheran World Federation in the region and visit some ministries of our partners, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land (ELCJHL). We will also have the great joy of participating in the ordination of the first female pastor in the ELCJHL. This journey will include time in Jerusalem, Galilee, Bethlehem, and a few other places deeply familiar to us through the stories of our faith.
Please pray for our bishops during this holy experience. Bishop Jason will be posting updates to our social media channel, so please follow to get a glimpse of what we are doing.
