Dec. 1 is a day set apart to pray for and raise awareness for those impacted by HIV/AIDS.  The World Council of Churches provides a service of prayer for this day: https://www.oikoumene.org/resources/documents/world-aids-day-2022-order-of-prayer.

We especially use this day to pray for the children and adults who are part of the Kids in Cameroon program in our global companion church in Cameroon.

A prayer from the MNO Synod Global Mission Committee:

Life-giving God, today, on World AIDS day, we remember our sisters and brothers impacted by or suffering from HIV and AIDS. We ask your healing presence on millions of people living with the disease today; particularly the children who are infected or who have been orphaned by the disease. Today, we remember the Kids in Cameroon program that was developed to help orphaned and underprivileged children in Cameroon. Please watch over these children–past, present and future–and help us and the program leaders to show love, respect, understanding and grace in caring for them.

Thank you for your presence,

Amen
