All are welcome at this ecumenical climate care service. We will have paper and instructions for the Creating4Creation folding action as well, so it will be both prayer and action. The service will be led by Deacon Michelle Collins (MNO Synod, Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada) and Rev. Andrew Rampton (Holy Trinity Anglican Church). Kick off the 2023-2024 school year with a climate care service with youth (grade 7-12) from Winnipeg and surrounding areas. This service will centre on the theme of caring for creation, and will include an advocacy action of folding paper (origami-style) into simple shapes representing various endangered animals. Instructions will be provided. Surrounded by readings, prayers and music, write your commitments and concerns related to the climate on a paper and fold it into a simple shape representing an endangered species (instructions provided. No experience required) to be sent to decision makers as advocacy and action.
An informal service of communion involving a variety of foods. This service will be held in the UofM Interfaith Centre (University Centre, 5th floor).
A brief service in the style of Taize for University of Manitoba students, staff, and faculty. Co-ordinated by St. John's College and St. Paul's College. Held in the St. John's College Chapel.
