Easter Vigil Service–St. John’s College

With the Diocese of Ruperts Land, St. John's College is hosting an Easter Vigil service on Saturday, April 8 at 4:30, which will include the baptism and confirmation of two St. John's College students. The Daily Bread will provide a reception following the service. There are opportunities for volunteers to be involved in the service in the following ways: 1) Pray for the two students as they continue to prepare. 2) Volunteer as readers 3) volunteer as communion assistants 4) Volunteer ushers 5) musicians Anyone interested in being involved in the service can contact St. John's College chaplain, Rev. Area Synod Youth Service and CLAY information meeting

This month's youth service will include an information meeting for leaders going to CLAY and/or the MNO Synod bus trip.  Location: Messiah Lutheran Church (400 Rouge Rd, Winnipeg). Agenda: Worship (4:00) led by Prairie Fire, followed by food (Suggested $5 donation for food) and fun for youth while leaders meet for an information meeting.

Synod Bus Trip and CLAY Information Meeting

There will be an information meeting for leaders taking groups on the bus trip and/or to CLAY.  It is very important that leaders going on these trips attend an information meeting. This meeting will be via Zoom.  Registration required for the Zoom link.

Winnipeg Pride Parade

MNO synod and the Diocese of Rupertsland are excited to participate in the Winnipeg Pride Parade 2023! Please join us to walk or ride* on the float to show support for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Those joining in the parade gather a few hours before the parade begins, and walk or ride* in the parade which usually begins around 11:00. The Facebook event page will be updated as more info becomes available. You can find out more about the Pride Season at https://pridewinnipeg.com *priority will be given to participants with mobility needs

Youth Pre-Gathering Event

Youth and leaders going on the Bus Trip and to CLAY will get together for a pre-gathering event. July 16 4:00-6:00 pm Assiniboine Park--by the sand volleyball courts (picnic site #4) https://www.assiniboinepark.ca/uploads/public/images/maps/park-map.pdf Bring a chair and an appetizer/chips/salad/desert to share.  Pizza and drinks will be provided.

Climate Care Service

Holy Trinity Anglican Church 256 Smith St, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

All are welcome at this ecumenical climate care service. We will have paper and instructions for the Creating4Creation folding action as well, so it will be both prayer and action. The service will be led by Deacon Michelle Collins (MNO Synod, Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada) and Rev.
