Winnipeg Pride Parade

MNO synod and the Diocese of Rupertsland are excited to participate in the Winnipeg Pride Parade 2023! Please join us to walk or ride* on the float to show support for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Those joining in the parade gather a few hours before the parade begins, and walk or ride* in the parade which usually begins around 11:00. The Facebook event page will be updated as more info becomes available. Sudan Mission Centennial Celebration

As part of our global companion relationship with the EELC (Cameroon), representatives of the Global Mission Committee will be traveling to Minneapolis to participate in the Sudan Mission Centennial Celebration--reflecting on 100 years of ministry in what is now Cameroon and Central African Republic. Youth Pre-Gathering Event

Youth and leaders going on the Bus Trip and to CLAY will get together for a pre-gathering event. Climate Care Service

Holy Trinity Anglican Church 256 Smith St, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

All are welcome at this ecumenical climate care service. We will have paper and instructions for the Creating4Creation folding action as well, so it will be both prayer and action. The service will be led by Deacon Michelle Collins (MNO Synod, Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada) and Rev. MNO Synod Youth Service

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church 106 Sawchuck St, St. Andrews, Manitoba, Canada

Kick off the 2023-2024 school year with a climate care service with youth (grade 7-12) from Winnipeg and surrounding areas. This service will centre on the theme of caring for creation, and will include an advocacy action of folding paper (origami-style) into simple shapes representing various endangered animals.  Instructions will be provided.  Surrounded by readings, prayers and music, write your commitments and concerns related to the climate on a paper and fold it into a simple shape representing an endangered species (instructions provided. No experience required) to be sent to decision makers as advocacy and action.

Campus Ministry–Living Room Communion Service

An informal service of communion involving a variety of foods.  This service will be held in the UofM Interfaith Centre (University Centre, 5th floor).
