The next MNO Synod Youth Event will be on Nov. 6, from 4:00-6:00 at Sherwood Park Lutheran Church in Winnipeg.  The event will begin with worship at 4:00, followed by pizza and fellowship.  Please bring $5/person for pizza.  For planning purposes, RSVP to Deacon Michelle by Oct. 31 (mcollins@elcic.ca).

World AIDS Day

Dec. 1 is a day set apart to pray for and raise awareness for those impacted by HIV/AIDS.  The World Council of Churches provides a service of prayer for this day: https://www.oikoumene.org/resources/documents/world-aids-day-2022-order-of-prayer. We especially use this day to pray for the children and adults who are part of the Kids in Cameroon program in our global companion church in Cameroon. Synod Youth Event–Fort Whyte Alive

Campus Advent Service–UofM

Join students and others from the UofM community in a brief service of Advent/Christmas carols and readings, co-ordinated by UofM Spiritual Care chaplains and hosted at St. John's College. Open to University of Manitoba students, staff and faculty. Refreshments provided.

Synod Office Closed

The synod office will be closed for Christmas Holiday Thursday, Dec. 22-Wednesday, January 4.  Staff will return to the office on Thursday, January 5.  Please have requests for receipt/reimbursement in to the office by Dec. 15th. Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

The 2023 theme of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, chosen by the Minnesota Council of Churches (USA), is "Do good; seek justice." Based on Isaiah 12:1-17, the international theme and materials call Christians to recognize that the divisions between our churches and confessions cannot be separated from the divisions within the wider human family.
