Installation of Pr. Zsófi Schmiedge

Please join us for the installation of Rev. Zsófi Schmiedge in to her role as Pastor of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Winnipeg. Clergy are invited to vest and process. The liturgical colour is white. This worship service will a hybrid service (in person and online) and will be available to stream through St. Mark's Lutheran's media platform.

Anti-Racism Training for Clergy

The Diocese of Rupert’s Land has arranged for a full day workshop to reflect about Dismantling Racism. Laurelle Harris has been engaged to lead this work for all clergy (Deacons, Pastors, Priests, and Bishops) for the Diocese of Rupert’s Land and MNO Synod. The date for the workshop is May 25, 2022, 9am-4pm in person for those in and around Winnipeg, and online for those further away. Lunch will be provided. The cost to attend in-person is $60. Installation of Pr. Jennifer Marlor

The installation and commissioning service for Pr. Jennifer Marlor as co-pastor in the Interlake Regional Shared Ministry will be on Sunday, May 29 at 2:00 p.m. at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Selkirk.  Clergy are invited to vest and process. The colour of the day is white.  

Synod Youth Regional Gathering

There will be a synod youth regional gathering on Sunday, May 29 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Starbuck, beginning at 4:00 p.m.  Any MNO Synod youth group is invited to attend, but the service will not be live-streamed for those unable to attend in person.  The event will begin with worship and will include time for fellowship, games and food. Masks are recommended when gathering inside. Proof of vaccination will not be required. Contact Deacon Michelle with questions.

June is Indigenous History Month.  As part of our commitment to reconciliation, all people in the MNO Synod are encouraged to seek out opportunities for learning and reflection this month. Going the Distance for The Urban

The Urban has decided to create their own annual fundraiser for the Urban. Abundant Life Lutheran in Birds Hill has so very kindly offered their premises for our first city-wide Going the Distance for the Urban on Saturday, September 10, 2022 (rain date will be October 1) from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.  Water, coffee/tea, and BBQ lunch provided by the Urban. CLAY Information Session for Youth Leaders

The planning team of the Canadian Lutheran Anglican Youth (CLAY) Gathering will hold an information session for youth leaders on Thursday, November 3 at 7:00 p.m. (Eastern Time). It will be a great online session for questions and answers regarding bringing your Home Teams to CLAY! It has been a few years already since CLAY was held in-person so bring your questions with you and the planning team will do their best to answer your questions!
