Meet Gabriella Balog, who has been appointed as the Synod Council Chairperson:
Hello! I’m Gabriella.
I am very excited to be joining the MNO Synod’s leadership team. I’ve spent the last 10 years working in the public sector, and am passionate about continuous improvement, communication, and process documentation. Outside of my professional life, I love to bake and play golf. I am a member at Grace Lutheran, where I actively participate in special music during services and am a member of the Worship Planning Committee. I also recently joined the Board of Directors at Luther Home.
I became interested in serving on Synod Council as I am someone who loves to learn and develop my skills. I thoroughly enjoy taking on new challenges and connecting with others to problem solve and strategize. I am looking to grow my leadership capabilities while making an impact on the Synod’s success and the broader community it serves. I believe that I will contribute to the role of chairperson through my communication and analytical skills. I have experience in meeting facilitation and exceptional organization skills. I am a strong team player and promote collaboration.
My hope for the MNO Synod in the next few years is to assist with strategic oversight, through the support of developing and refining strategic plans to align with the mission and vision. I also hope to enhance stakeholder relationships through the collection of feedback and promotion of transparency on goals, strategies, and performance.
