Support a Young Adult in Global Mission from the MNO Synod
Lainie Nichols is a young adult member of Erickson Lutheran Church in Erickson, MB. She will be spending a year in service through the ELCA Young Adult in Global Mission (YAGM) program. From August 2026 to July 2027, Lainie will be living and serving in London, UK, where she will accompany global companions, build relationships, and gain new perspectives by sharing life with others.

You can make donations in CAD to Lainie’s year of service through the ELCIC National Office.
As part of their commitment to this year of service, YAGM volunteers commit to trying to raise $10,000 USD (about $14,000 CAD). These funds go towards the overall YAGM program. Individuals and congregations can show their support for Lainie and the overall work of the church to offer young adults a meaningful experience of accompaniment and service learning through their donations. Every small amount helps!
- Go to ELCIC.ca and click on “donate” along the top banner
- Under “donation fund,” select “Young Adults in Global Mission (YAGM)” from the menu
- Select “one time donation only” if your gift is a one-time gift.
- VERY IMPORTANT: put “YAGM–Lainie Nichols GCS3630” in the “personal message” box to ensure your donation gets allocated correctly.
Congregations can collect donations from individuals and send in the total amount collected to the ELCIC National Office. Make sure the funds are designated for YAGM. The national office will then pass on funds from both congregations and individuals to the ELCA.
